It all depends on the size of the project and the size of the crew assigned. To paint the whole exterior of a medium house typically takes 1-2 days
For Interior and exterior painting we use Sherwin Williams products that carry a 25 year warranty against peeling , chalking & blistering.We can use other paint if customer prefers but we have been using these products since we started back in 1993 and we know Sherwin Williams will stand behind us if there are ever any issues.
Unfortunately, most HOAs want to work with homeowners directly however, we’ll help in anyway we can. If you’re not sure where to start, we’d recommend contacting your HOA for more information about their specific process.
VOCs, or volatile organic compounds are found in many manufactured products that you use in your home everyday. This is one of the reasons the air indoors is 10x more polluted than the air outside. All of the paint products we use meet the most stringent VOC regulations, keeping you and your family safe.
We want you to be 100% happy with your finished project. For that reason we do not recommend applying only one coat. Even if you are sticking with the same color, the result can be patchy and that is not the kind of work we want to be associated with. If a customer really wants to apply one coat we will do it but unfortunately we cannot warranty the work
Absolutely, we have years of experience working with insurance .Give your insurance a call so you can have an adjuster come out and we’ll provide you a comprehensive estimate to have the damage repaired
Choosing the right paint colors can be incredibly stressful so we have countless tools to help with this step. We offer free in home color consultations with all jobs over $1000. Yes- we can match the new paint very closely and we can show you a sample to make sure you are happy with before painting starts.
If your home tests positive for lead (we’ll test it for you at your estimate) then it’s critical that the correct steps are followed to ensure safety on your project. We are lead certified and we can take care of properly and safely painting your home.
All furniture and flooring is covered using plastic and drop cloths. Our painters wear boot covers when working inside your home.
All nearby plants / shrubs are covered with plastic. When pressure cleaning we use a cleaner called TSP which is not harmful to animals or plants.
Yes- if there is paint remaining we will leave it with the customer.
Yes- we ask for a 35% deposit to schedule your painting job and this is fairly standard for contractors.
Our schedule varies at different times of the year. Once we receive your deposit and signed contract you will receive a confirmation email with your job schedule.
There are occasions where we may be delayed due to weather, or due to customers adding additional work once we arrive at their homes/ businesses, however, we will keep you informed if it looks like we may be behind in our schedule.
It is very hard to estimate drywall and carpentry repairs because until we start removing the damaged areas we do not know how far the damage goes and for that reason the repairs are based on time plus material.
For interior painting, the prep work includes covering all furniture with plastic, placing drop cloths on the floors and putting blue tape on baseboards and surrounding areas. We patch or seal any stained areas and hand sand where required and take care of any minor blemishes such as nail pops. For exterior painting the preparation includes pressure washing, caulking, scraping, sanding and priming of all bare wood.
We usually recommend a flat finish for ceilings, eggshell for walls that are in high traffic or high moisture areas and semi gloss for woodwork.
